Fee Structure
Fees for services are arranged with the client and may be based on a fixed amount, an hourly charge, or combinations of such fee arrangements.
Contingent fee arrangements are welcome. Extensive expenditures of time are required for case evaluation. In addition to heavy support from the client regarding technical issues and rough damage estimates, clients pay costs such as search fees, infringing product specimens, prosecution file history and the like. A detailed legal services agreement is proposed, negotiated and executed.
All hourly charges are billed with a detailed statement of the tasks performed. Time is recorded in minimum increments of 0.25 hours. Costs are billed as incurred at the actual amount. Costs in litigation for expert witnesses, investigators, consultants, court reporters and other sub-contractors are paid directly by the client after approval by Paul Adams.
The hourly charge for Paul Adams is $450 per hour.
